Mission

The mission of DeCesare School of Drawing and Painting is to provide student-centered, professional, studio art instruction.

Vision

The DeCesare family designed and constructed DeCesare Studio of Drawing and Painting; an extraordinary art studio, gallery and private fine arts school built exclusively for the advancement of drawing and painting.

DeCesare School is a unique resource especially for serious adults, teens, schools, teachers and parents. DeCesare School has an intentional focus on the value of creativity in the digital age; bridging tech-savvy teens with traditionally-based studio art training. With decades of experience teaching high school and college studio art, DeCesare's student-centered approach is effective and unique.

DeCesare's teen students consistently develop art portfolios that demonstrate sound understanding of light, form, composition, color and perspective; a basis from where a meaningful creative voice emerges. DeCesare's hard-working students build sound sensibilities, and personal confidence. DeCesare's students have gone on to enjoy fruitful collegiate (and professional) careers in the arts across the country and beyond.

Students gain admission and scholarship to prestigious art schools throughout the country including: Cooper Union, Rhode Island School of Design, The Fashion Institute of New York, Pratt Institute, Parsons, Hartford Art School, Mass College of Art, Maryland Institute College of Art, School of the Art Institute of Chicago and the Lyme Academy among others.
